Art, Nature & Me Preschool Programs
Art, Nature & Me is a State of Connecticut licensed preschool. Children's preschool experience is enhanced by our amazing site. We are a field trip!
Children learn by being active participants. Art, Nature & Me at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center inspires creativity, promotes self-discovery, and nurtures an appreciation for lifelong learning. Our staff supports a child's sense of wonder and natural curiosity by providing hands-on experiences in our classrooms as well as outdoors in the natural world.
The goal of our three-year-old program is to help children become part of a social group. They learn to take turns, wait, walk together as a group, listen to each other's needs, listen to the teacher, share and enjoy the company of others. Four year olds continue to develop socially while their cognitive, creative, physical, and emotional skills are further developed so they are prepared for kindergarten. Both three and four year olds develop their social, physical, cognitive, and creative skills on a daily basis through our seasonal curriculum and interactions with their peers and teachers.
We follow the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards to develop our learning experiences for all children and assess each child's progress. We are a peanut and tree nut free school.
