Spring Session

For campers currently in Grades 1 – 4

Returning this year! A spring session of Heckscher Farmers camp gives participants a chance to embrace spring on the farm! Be some of the first to meet the new babies, prep the garden for spring, and help to celebrate spring animal birthdays! Our single spring session will be similar in structure to summer but will focus on spring happenings on the farm. Limited to 12 campers.

Session Dates: April 14 – 17 (4 days)

Summer Camp Sessions

For campers entering Grades 1 - 4 in Fall 2025

Immerse your camper in the daily chores and activities of our Heckscher Farm in this interactive program. Campers will be responsible for helping with daily chores such as grooming, exercising, feeding, and cleaning farm animals, and will also help with weekly produce harvest and planting in our organic garden.  Learn how to properly exercise and provide enrichment for animals, explore our hay lofts and barns, and hang out in the pastures! Kids will also participate in hands-on cooking and farm crafts.

Campers will be outside on Heckscher Farm, except in most inclement weather, and should bring a daily peanut/tree nut-free lunch and snack. Campers will also receive a small gift certificate to the SM&NC Sunday Farm Market. Limited to 12 campers per week for a great small group experience. Campers may register for more than one session if desired. Some activities may be the same each week, but the weeks will not be completely identical.
