Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas opens at Stamford Museum & Nature Center
Stamford, Conn. — On Friday, October 4, Stamford Museum & Nature Center opened its fall exhibition, Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas. Now on view through January 5, this groundbreaking new exhibition highlights cutting-edge dinosaur research by the world’s top paleontologists and scientists. It offers hands-on educational stations and explores how paleontologists use the most current technologies, along with new discoveries and new ideas to investigate and reinterpret the most persistent and puzzling mysteries of dinosaurs. Topics range from what they really looked like and how they behaved, to the hotly debated theories of why — or even whether — they became extinct.
A smaller exhibition on fossils featuring ancient specimens from the SM&NC’s permanent collection is concurrently on display.
Exhibition made possible with generous support from Nuvance Health-GoHealth Urgent Care.
Organized by the American Museum of Natural History in collaboration with the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco; The Field Museum, Chicago; the Houston Museum of Natural Science; and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh.
