Join us for an evening of astronomy and art featuring local speakers, a planetarium show, a chance to tour our American Patriotism and Exquisite Miniatures exhibitions after hours, and an art project that focuses on the each evening’s theme.
From the discovery of new moons and planets to capturing never-before seen views of galaxies, the Hubble Telescope has changed the face of astronomy. Join lecturer Jason Kendall for a look at some of the “greatest hits” of the telescope. We’ll also see how a variety of artists, from Edvard Munch to Georgia O’Keefe, captured their visions of the night sky and take a quick trip around the solar system in the planetarium. Please note that these programs meet in the Museum Building, not the Observatory.
