An all-new market to celebrate Earth Day, the SM&NC’s 90th and the USA’s 250th!

Take a trip back in time with our vintage vendors to uncover or upcycle one-of-a-kind treasures! Shop the varied wares of eco-friendly vendors to lower your footprint while supporting local businesses. Don’t miss the opportunity for some true Spring cleaning — we’ll provide the means by which to recycle a number of items, including towels, eyeglasses, textiles, office supplies and more, so it’s time to get decluttering! Plus, stop by to make your own recycled paper to take home (10am-12pm). We’ll also have free veggie seed packets to take home to grown your own plants this summer!

  • Children, women and men’s clothing & coats–Donated to My Sister’s Place (benefits victims of Domestic Violence) or textile recycling (benefits Northeast School)
  • Children, women and men’s shoes–Donated to My Sister’s Place (benefits victims of Domestic Violence), recycled through Nike Reuse-a-Shoe or textile recycling (benefits Northeast School)
  • Towels–reuse for animals at SM&NC, donated to local animal shelters, or textile recycling (benefits Northeast School)
  • Sheets, pillowcases, fabric–reuse for animals at SM&NC, donated to local animal shelters, or textile recycling (benefits Northeast School)
  • Paper grocery/shopping bags— reuse for SM&NC farm markets
  • Wine corks— recycled by ReCORK into shoe soles and other items, replacing fossil fuel-based plastic
  • Eyeglasses— Donated to the Lions Club for reuse
  • Art supplies (including paper, stickers, pom poms, pipe cleaners, washable kids paints)- for reuse at SM&NC or donated to local schools. NO PAINT CANS PLEASE
  • BatteriesRechargeable (Lithium-ion, Ni-CD), button cells, and single-use alkaline. NO CAR BATTERIES PLEASE.
  • Baskets — wicker or wire baskets–donated to organizations who create gift baskets

  • Shoe boxes — for reuse at SM&NC Art, Nature & Me Preschool
