Join SM&NC Visitor Services Manager and expert birder, Brian O’Toole, on a fall walk to explore this great local birding area. Quality meadow habitats are declining in our area and, as such, the great meadows at the park attract some species that can be harder to find elsewhere in Stamford. We’ll hopefully catch some migrating raptors overhead, look for fall songbirds that are passing through the area, and identify more resident groups like corvids and woodpeckers. October has brought bluebirds, bobolinks, sparrows, and Eastern Meadowlarks in the grasses, and kestrels, Bald Eagles, and harriers overhead. Some binoculars will be available to borrow, but please bring your own if you have them!

Meet in front of the tennis court. Limited to 15 participants.
