Natalie Berkowitz, author of The Winemaker’s Hand: Conversations on Talent, Technique, and Terroir will give a presentation about the complex process of converting grapes to wine. Berkowitz has interviewed winemakers throughout the world who work in diverse wine-producing regions including Chile, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the US. The event includes a wine tasting, interactive lesson, and a signed copy of The Winemaker’s Hand. Berkowitz has been teaching a wine appreciation course at Barnard College and Columbia University for over a decade. She is a wine, food, and lifestyle writer whose articles have appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator.
