About the Creators

Off the Trail for Squeak and Squawk was conceived by theatre artists and Stamford residents, Jason and Maria Pizzarello who are delighted to be partnering with the Stamford Museum & Nature Center. The Nature Center was a refuge for the co-creators young family during the pandemic lockdown in 2020. From March 2020 until September 2020, Jason Pizzarello was serving with the New York Army National Guard. On his leave, to spend time with their young daughters, Jason and his wife Maria would walk the trails of the Nature Center. It was there that they fully began to understand how important being out on the trail was for their growing children. On their walks, stories would be invented and told to enhance their experience and Off the Trail for Squeak and Squawk was born.
