Under Pressure: Painting with Air Exhibition Opens at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center
Stamford, Conn. — On Thursday, June 13, Stamford Museum & Nature Center opened its summer exhibition, Under Pressure: Painting with Air. Now on view through September 2, the new exhibition showcases 40 diverse works of contemporary airbrush realism, wide-ranging in theme and style. Guests included three of the 11 featured artists (pictured L-R): Alan Pastrana, Don Eddy – the evening’s keynote speaker, and Bruce Evans. Later this season on Thursday, August 1 at 6 pm, Pastrana will return to present a Masterclass demonstrating his artistic process and technique. Part of the SM&NC’s Nights Out adult program series, Members and Non-Members alike are welcome to attend for $15 or $20, respectively, with preregistration at www.stamfordmuseum.org/masterclass. SM&NC Gallery hours: Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and 11 AM to 5 PM on Sundays. Gallery viewing is always free to SM&NC Members and included in the price of daily admission for Visitors.
