Nights Out: Farmer for the Evening

Come join our farmers and lend a helping hand on Heckscher Farm. You can help the farmers feed, groom, and walk our animals including goats, sheep, cows, llamas and alpacas, donkeys, and more. Rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Refreshments will be served after your chores are done! Please note: this program is for adults only. Members: $20 Non-members: $30 Registration opens 3/22 for SM&NC Members and to all on 4/5.

Session 1: 1:00-2:15 pm Session 2: 2:45-3:45 pm Join us for a spring version of our popular goat program! Meet the newest kids in our herd, help to exercise a goat, and paint your own paper mache goat to take home! Limited to 10 participants per session. Children may not be dropped off of this program. All participants must have a ticket. Children under 5 may not register for this program. Members: $10/person Registration opens 3/22.

Explore the world of insectivores from mammals to spiders to even carnivorous plants! Meet some of our live animal insectivores, such as our hedgehog, and learn about bugs that people eat too! We’ll also learn about different kinds of carnivorous plants and each participant will replant a Venus Fly Trap to take home!
